Bollywood Interrogation Over Sushant Suicide Begins

As outrage fuels hate against Indian celebrities like Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt, police are already interrogating Bollywood A-listers.

NEWS: As outrage fuels hate against Bollywood A-listers, an investigation into Sushant Singh Rajput’s death by suicide is moving swiftly. A news report by mid-day states that Mumbai Police have requested a copy of the late actor’s contract from Yash Raj Films. It is understood that the police are looking into angles of professional rivalry through the production house’s contract.

The police authorities have taken down approximately 13 statements in connection to Rajput’s death. On Thursday, his former girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty, was summoned by authorities looking into the investigation, her questioning lasted for about 11 hours. Chakraborty’s interview was to help the police understand the situation of Sushant’s personal and professional life.

The filmy houses of Yash Raj Films, Sajid Nadiadwala, #SalmanKhan, Balaji, Dharma Productions, Dinesh Vijayan, #SanjayLeelaBhansali and #TSeries are at the centre of the Rajput storm. The petition has been signed by over 1,3 million people in support of the move to block production houses that have allegedly maligned the cinematic journey of the late Sushant Singh Rajput. . . Sources told the publication that the cops are looking into the professional rivalry angle, and the contract might help with the investigation.

“Rhea would take Sushant to the psychiatrist. He stopped taking medicines a couple of months back because he thought he was getting better. Rhea’s statement is very important to determine the reason behind Sushant’s depression. We are in the process of verifying some information about the case but till now we haven’t found anything related to tension in his professional world”, the officer told mid-day.

Along with Rhea, Sushant’s business manager Shruti Modi and PR manager Radhika Nihalani also gave their statements. Shruti told the police that Sushant was working on a social service project Nation For World and had another in mind – Genius Dropout for people who could not succeed in their goals. Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide at his Mumbai residence on Sunday, 14 June. The actor was 34.

Indian filmmaker, Mukesh Bhatt’s comments where he said he ‘saw it coming’ when it came to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. He also stated that he feared the actor was ‘going the Parveen Babi way’. His commentary comments didn’t go well with many including India’s National award-winning actor Kangana Ranaut. In response to Bhatt, the furious Ranaut said in an interview, “Mukesh Bhatt is now claiming that Sushant was heading the ‘Parveen Babi Way’.
