Cottonlands Residents ‘Under Siege By Brutal Crimes

SABC NEWS: The community of Cottonlands, in Ndwedwe, north of Durban, have expressed sadness and in some instances anger – following a spate of brutal crimes in the area. This comes after the killing of an unknown man in a house at Cottonlands yesterday. According to the director of a local security company, Reaction Unit South Africa, Prem Balram, members of the community were alerted by the sounds of several gunshots, leading to the discovery of the man’s body. Balram says murders, hijackings and a number of crimes have left residents frustrated and they want more to be done by authorities.
