Phoenix Decomposing Body Leaves Residents In Shock

The residents of High Manor Grove, Phoenix north of Durban have been left in a state of shock after a “terrible stench” led to the discovery of a decomposing body. According to Prem Balram, director of local security company Reaction Unit South Africa. concerned members of the public alerted authorities that a 44-year-old man, who was believed to be unwell, had not been seen for several days. Balram says after breaking down a door in his home, authorities found the man’s decomposing body.

Meanwhile, Crystal Govender, a lifelong friend and neighbour of the deceased says residents are still coming to terms with the manner in which he was found. Govender says he was last seen in a very sickly condition on Saturday.
