Isipingo Resident Chandra Ellaurie Faces Criminal Charges

The Isipingo Beach resident who won a court application objecting to the Islamic call to prayer being aired around his home now faces criminal charges. A former councillor and consultant, Mohammed Yacoob Baig, has charged Chandra Ellaurie with crimen injuria, hate speech and blasphemy. Baig explains that Ellaurie made extremely discriminatory statements against Islam and this needs to be addressed.
