SP Balasubrahmanyam who tested negative for COVID-19 remains in Intensive Care while his son asks fans to ignore baseless rumours.
SP Balasubrahmanyam tested positive for COVID-19 during the first week of August. The iconic singer was then transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after his condition had worsened on 13 August. His son SP Charan had recently updated his father’s fans saying that the actor-singer had tested COVID negative. He also encouraged fans to not fall for baseless rumours about his father’s medical condition. Charan said the SPB’s recovery continues to be slow and steady. The filmmaker added that his father is comfortable and not in sedation, though he is still on the ventilator.
“Everything is going smooth. We don’t expect any complications of infections or anything like that. So all seems well. Thanks to your prayers, your wishes. We are grateful for your concern and affection towards dad,” he said in the video posted on Instagram.
