Many of the holidays that are grouped together now seem to be coincidental, but they tend to follow ancient patterns. In the northern hemisphere, the spring equinox is celebrated on March 21 – spring is the symbol of new life. This becomes our autumn equinox. Easter is celebrated on the first Sunday following the full Moon that occurs on or just after the equinox while Ramadan follows the sighting of the new moon over Mecca.
Below are calendar guidelines. When in doubt, consult your school or religious house of worship.
