Bhramam is a Malayalam crime thriller movie that can be seen on Amazon Prime. It stars Prithiviraj and Mamta Mohandas as the main protagonists with Raashi Khanna, Unni Mukundan and Shankar. Ravi K. Chandran is the director and cinematographer for the movie. The story is based on the Hindi movie Andhadhun with adaptations for the Malayalam audience. The movie is about a blind musician who ‘witnesses’ a murder and is then sucked into the world of murder and infidelity. He has to keep one step ahead for the murderers who want to kill him. The movie has many twists and turns and the confrontation between Pritiviraj and Mamta is just two good. The music also is excellent especially the piano pieces.
Lift is a Tamil movie on Disney Hotstar and is about two people trapped in a haunted office overnight with the lift being the focal point of the story. We also get a back story of the office environment before the said night. The movie stars Kavin (Big Boss fame) and Amritha Aiyer (Bigil fame) in the pivotal role. I won’t tell you more about the storyline as it is a suspense movie, and it will spoil the viewing. The only criticism was I thought could have been a little bit shorter.
Nootokka Jillala Andagadu is a Telugu comedy drama film on Amazon Prime and stars Avasarala Srinivas (GSN), Ruhani Sharma (Anjali) and Rohini as the hero’s mum. Avasaarla also wrote the screenplay. The story revolves around GSN who has become prematurely bald but hides it with a realistic wig. No-one besides his mother knows his secret. However, things change when the pretty Angali starts working in the same real Estate office and has to work closely with him. They fall in love and decide to get married. However, what happens when Anjali gets to know that he is bald and how he reacts is the rest of the story. The movie has a lot of funny moments however not too sure what effect it will have on bald viewers.
