Bride of the moment, Alia Bhatt, is the latest Bollywood star to get married amidst huge media speculations. Afresh from her wedding on April 14, Alia shared her wedding pictures with her husband Ranbir Kapoor on her Instagram handle.

In the wedding pictures, she looked like a princess straight out of a fairy-tale, donning an elegant ivory Sabyasachi saree. She chose to go for a minimal makeup look and heavy traditional jewellery. And it’s safe to say that she stole our hearts with her dreamy wedding look.

Katrina Kaif
The wedding of Katrina Kaif, one of the most successful A-listers in Bollywood, was a hugely anticipated one for her fans, due to the secrecy around the wedding. Tying the knot with Vicky Kaushal at the royal Hotel Six Senses Fort Barwara, Sawai Madhopur on December 9, 2021, Katrina looked as elegant as ever in a red bridal Sabyasachi lehenga.

Interestingly, Katrina paid tribute to her husband’s Punjabi roots by giving her wedding veil a customised touch. According to the official Instagram page of designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s brand, Katrina’s veil was custom-trimmed with handmade kiran in hand-beaten silver electroplated in gold.

Also, the red lehenga worn by Katrina was made of handwoven matka silk with fine tilla work and meticulously embroidered revival zardozi borders in velvet.

Deepika Padukone
Undoubtedly, the most awaited Bollywood wedding in recent times was that of two superstars, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. The Bollywood power couple appeared to be over the moon in love, with the bride looking enchanting at her Konkani wedding ceremony, as they got married in the picturesque location of Lake Como in Italy on 14 November 2018.

Deepika wore a gold and red Kanjeevaram saree for her Konkani themed wedding, pairing it up with a Sabyasachi silk dupatta.
Her day 2 look for Anand Karaj (Sikh wedding ceremony) was equally breathtaking. The red lehenga, complete with an embroidered veil and gotta patti work looked lovely on her. Another thing that caught everyone’s attention was the beautiful Sanskrit mantra, ‘Sada Saubhagyavati Bhava’, embroidered on her dupatta. It roughly translates to ‘may you always stay married’.

Anushka Sharma
