A cardinal virtue of spirituality is to show gratitude for being fortunate to sleep in a warm, comfortable and secure bed by developing compassion for those who are not so fortunate, and many who die because of cold exposure. With this in mind, we appeal to you to contribute to our winter Seva Project by donating money towards the purchase of blankets that will be given to those in need.
We appeal to you to support this initiative in bringing aid to those in need.
This Seva Project will be aimed at assisting the communities in Tongaat , KZN, who have been severely impacted by the recent flooding and the lack of basic necessities that has followed.
Pretoria Bhajanai Mandram will arrange the purchase and packing of blankets in Johannesburg as well as the transporting of the blankets from Johannesburg to Tongaat. This will be delivered and distributed with the help of a reputable spiritual Organisation called the Maidstone Shree Emperumal Prayer Group based in Tongaat. This group has worked closely with Pretoria Bhajanai Mandram in the past and will ensure that the management and distribution is well overseen.
This year the blankets are priced at R140 each and we plan to distribute at the end of June. Through your generosity and support we hope to deliver an adequate amount of blankets to meet the need of this community.
The ability to feel compassion for the difficulty another human being experiences is a major part of coming into contact with the divinity that resides in each of us. When we find ourselves in a position to assist others it is both out of compassion and gratitude that one can engage in and contribute to such social welfare projects.
Your continued support is truly appreciated and has been a source of encouragement and inspiration to us at Pretoria Bhajanai Mandram.
We Thank You sincerely!!!
